Prayer Buddies - 4/14/2018"Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these? He said to him, "Yes, Lord, you know that I love you."
John 21:15-17 To renew my love for God is everyday; putting my trust to Him even in little things. Do I allow the presence of God move me as a sign of my love for Him? To express our love for God is not separate from our daily life. It must be seen in our words & deeds even in the slightest detail. It is a challenge we need to practice everyday. Prayer is our key tool to always be in connection with the Lord as our way of love for him. VERBUM DEI PRAYER BUDDIES

Prayer Buddies - 4/13/2018What gives life is God's Spirit; human power is of no use at all. The words I have spoken to you bring God's life giving Spirit. (John 6:63)
God's Spirit is alive through his words. It gives us life and serves as light in our journey. May we remain rooted by his words so that the Spirit will always be with us in bringing the good news to others. What are the graces you need today to touch someone's lives? Do you need to be more courageous in sharing the gospel? Listen to his words and let the Spirit work in you. VERBUM DEI PRAYER BUDDIES

Prayer Buddies - 4/11/2018I hear my lover's voice. Come then, my love; my darling, come with me. You are like a dove that hides in the crev voice. Song of Songs 2:8-16
There are things that sometimes make us hide and keep us from sharing God's love for others. But He constantly seeks and invites us to be immersed in His love. Pouring it out to each one for all may receive. In what ways can we let others know of God's love today? VERBUM DEI PRAYER BUDDIES

Prayer Buddies - 4/10/2018"My sweetheart, my bride, is a secret garden, a walled garden, a private spring." (Song of Songs 4: 12)
Oh, how God longs for us just as a husband longs for his wife! He desires so much that we know Him deeply just as how He profoundly knows what's in the depths of our hearts. He desperately wants us to understand how much His love overflows for us. Let us allow God to embrace us tightly & rebuild that intimate relationship with Him for that is what He created us for. Having been filled with that love, may we share it with others who still do not know how much loved they are. VERBUM DEI PRAYER BUDDIES

Prayer Buddies - 4/9/2018I am the Lord's servant, may it happen to me as you have said. (Luke 1:38)
Today is the feast of the Annunciation-a day of rejoicing, for God was delighted in Mary's life and she was delighted also to do His will. Through her "Yes!", she bore our salvation and the joy that God promised to his people. As for us, through our baptism, we bear also Christ in our life. Let us ask Mother Mary's grace to teach us trust God so that we can make him more visible through our words and deeds. VERBUM DEI PRAYER BUDDIES

Prayer Buddies - 4/8/2018"after saying this, he showed them his hands and his side. The disciples were filled with joy at seeing the Lord"
(John 20:20) All of us are wounded because of the sin in this world. Jesus is inviting us to embrace our woundedness and unite it with the Paschal Mystery of Christ so we can become witnesses of His resurrection and heal His mystical body in the world of today. VERBUM DEI PRAYER BUDDIES

Prayer Buddies - 4/7/2018"Which is right in God's eyes: to listen to you, or to him? You be the judges! As for us, we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard."(Acts 4:19)
Whose voice am I listening everyday? Do I hear the voice of God & allow it to transcend in me or I only listen to my selfish interests? We act & say what we want. How about the desire of God in you and for other people? Let us constantly revive the spirit we have received from Easter in order not to easily judge others.

Prayer Buddies - 4/6/2018They were annoyed because the two apostles were teaching the people that Jesus had risen from death which proved that the dead will rise to life.(Acts 4:2)
In our world of today, where most of us are becoming self centered and forget that people around us is in need of God, there is a great need to hear his words in the midst of chaos. As a risen disciple of Jesus, how firm are you in your faith to proclaim his words? Is there someone in your life today that is in trouble? Someone who is lost and in total darkness? Go! make a stand to preach and make the word of God be known to them.

Prayer Buddies - 4/5/2018So, faith comes from preaching & preaching is rooted in the word of Christ. (Romans 10:17)
We have the responsibility of sharing the Word of God to all people just like the apostles who were commissioned by Christ to spread the gospel. We have received so much from God through His words & the baton is now passed on to us to preach the gospel to our brothers & sisters so that they, too, will experience Christ's love & mercy. Prayer Buddies - 4/3/2018DON'T BE ALARMED, he said. You are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here--HE HAS BEEN RAISED!
(Mark 16:6) Alleluia! Jesus has victoriously conquered the power of death. Death & sin then are not the last words. Share the goodnews of His triumphant love wherever you go! Just drown yourself in the ocean of His Mercy & you will be surprised at how merciful you will be with others! VERBUM DEI PRAYER BUDDIES |
