Prayer buddies - 9/9/2017"What we have seen & heard we proclaim now to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; for our fellowship is with the Father & with the Son, Jesus Christ." (1John 1:1-3)
The desire of an apostle is not just to proclaim but also to desire for others to experience what he/she experienced with God. Joyful preaching is the means but the transformation of others is the end. That is the essence of love. Challenge yourself today by sharing the word of God in your own creativity. Have a blessed day ahead! VERBUM DEI PRAYER BUDDIES

Prayer Buddies - 9/7/2017"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to bring glad tidings to the poor...." Lk. 4:18
Reflection: I am so grateful to have the Spirit of the Lord. In an unruly place I am able to tame myself; in anger I am able to calm; and in vengeance I want to forgive. Who am I to refuse His presence not to be upon me? He consecrates me to be His in order to accompany others and to make Him known to them. VERBUM DEI PRAYER BUDDIES

Prayer Buddies - 9/6/2017Samuel answered, “Speak; your servant is listening.” 1Sam 3:10
To effectively relay God's message is to attentively listen to His voice. His words changes the way we think, see and do things. Let us be open to his words so that it can bring change to us and to many. VERBUM DEI PRAYER BUDDIES

Prayer Buddies - 9/5/2017If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask for whatever you want and it will be done for you. Jn.15:7
Jesus invites us to be truly connected with Him because we will be full of His words when we preach to other people. His very own words will become our armor in our mission as we opt to touch lives and make their dreams bigger. Let's pray unceasingly so that we can be in union with Him and do whatever He tells us. Prayer Buddies - 9/4/2017It is not because you are greater than all the others that God chose you but because you are the LEAST of all people.
(Deut. 7:7) How great is the trust God has for us that despite His perfect knowledge of our imperfections, He still calls us. Can we be His eyes, mouth, hands & feet that help spread the Good news of His LOVE-a love that makes every unworthy person deserving of the call. VERBUM DEI PRAYER BUDDIES

Prayer Buddies - 9/3/2017"Whoever wishes to come after me must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me." - Mt. 16:24
Being Christ's disciple is a daily invitation of self-giving. It is when we are selfless that we can take His cross as an act of service to others that allows us to follow His way. What is it that I need to deny about myself? How does Jesus want me to serve others? VERBUM DEI PRAYER BUDDIES

Prayer buddies - 9/2/2017"This is my body, which is for you. Do this in memory of me". (1 Cor. 11:23-25)
This word isn't addressed only to a selected few but to each one of us. When we eat His body in the Eucharist, we are also invited that we, ourselves, become bread for others. For many around us are hungry for love, mercy and compassion. How has the Eucharist affect your relationship with others? Does it make you even more sensitive? VERBUM DEI Prayer Buddies |
