About the NFE logo:
“Gifted” is bloated to signify that we have received a lot. You can see hands with the gesture of receiving placed on the letter “i” where “i” can symbolize a person representing the Filipino people.
“Give” has an effect of being squeezed to signify that it is time to give all what we have. Continuing the theme of hands... the letter “v” is shaped by hands giving out rays of light.
The rays of light can mean sharing the light we have all received.
The colors blue, red, and yellow represent that this event is specific to the Philippines (from the colors of the flag).
“To” is the bridge, or the means where we see the logo of Verbum Dei. It is to show that we are speaking of our giftedness and the call to give through the charism of Verbum Dei.
The 500 years simply mean, 500 years of Christianity enclosed in the shape that gives the impression of a circle to represent the world, that this giftedness and giving is not only in a local context but will always be in the background of the realities of the world.
The blue background signifies the water (Philippines is an archipelago surrounded by water) and the lines form a ripple effect signifying the hope that whatever richness we have received and given can form a ripple effect to eternity.
