Lk 18:9-14 “Genuine prayer of love” Have you had a sincere prayer moments? How does it feel when you have a sincere and genuine prayer? In the gospel Jesus shows to us what happens when we have a genuine prayer. When you had a genuine prayer, you will feel justified. You are at peace because God always listens to a genuine prayer. Mama Mary, teach us to pray genuinely and with love so that we may grow our relationship with Jesus and fall in love with Him. #PrayVD

Mk 12:28-34 “You are not far from the Kingdom of God” In this world facing crisis from covid-19, there is panic, there is fear, there is lose of hope and we all wish that this crisis will go away already. We are wishing a place without crisis, panic, fear and full of hope. What we are wishing is the Kingdom of God where there is no crisis. The gospel tells us to love God with our everything and love our neighbours as we love ourselves and the Kingdom is not far from us. Let us give more love and fill this world with love until it becomes the Kingdom of God. Let this love heal the world and remove the crisis. Jesus, you are the source of love. Let your unfailing love envelopes us and heal the world. #PrayVD

Mt 1:16, 18-21, 24a “Bring Mother Mary and Jesus home” Today we celebrate the solemnity of Saint Jospeh, husband of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Today’s feast tells us to be obedient and faithful to God like what Joseph did. Because of Joseph’s faithfulness and obedience and also being the father and husband to Jesus and Mary, they were able to find home with us. The gospel invites us to bring Mama Mary and Jesus to us and be their home. Let us grow our relationship with Mama Mary and Jesus as we take part in God’s journey of salvation. Jesus, Mama Mary, may you help us to grow our relationship with you so that we may take part in God’s glory. #PrayVD

Mt 5:17-19 “Obey and teach the law of love” Jesus said that He came to fulfil the law love and not to break or abolish it. Can you imagine what the world looks like when there is no love? But do not worry because Jesus will always fulfil it. Jesus invites us to obey and teach the law of love and we will receive the kingdom of God. In this time that we are experiencing, let us pray for one another and we show our love to one another. Jesus is above the world and He loves us always. Mama Mary, teach us to love one another in the midst of crisis and pray for us that we may get through this crisis. #PrayVD

Mt 18:21-35 “The mercy of the God” The gospel is telling us how big the mercy of God is. God is willing to forgive you and in return you must forgive too. God wants to show us the beauty of forgiveness and He is forgiving to be our example. Forgiveness will free us from anger and will make us do Godly things. A forgiving heart will bring peace to us and out hearts will always be in joy. As we continue praying, ask God for the grace of forgiveness and may this grace bring joy to our lives. Holy Spirit, open our hearts and minds so that we may receive God’s forgiveness and let it bring joy to our lives #PrayVD

Lk 4:24-30 “Accept the Gospel of salvation” Jesus tells to the people of the synagogue that the good news is not accepted on its native place. Jesus also was driven out of the town. Our heart is the native place of the Lord. Are we driving Jesus out of our hearts? Amidst the challenges that we are facing currently, do we allow fear or panic in our hearts that drives Jesus away? We are invited to accept Jesus in our hearts. Let Him be inside the native place and let God bring the good news of hope and salvation. Mama Mary, teach us to open our hearts so that we may be able to accept Jesus and receive the good news. #PrayVD

Gospel: John 4:5—42 “Those who drink of the water that I will give them will never be thirsty.” (cf. John 4:14) We always thirst for many things and today, Jesus affirms us that an encounter with Him quenches these thirsts that we have. The Samaritan woman in today's Gospel felt so blessed in encountering and knowing Jesus that she shared her experience to the people. And in her encounter with the Christ, she was filled with joy that would never be taken awayfrom her. May we be like the Samaritan woman in today’s Gospel, filled with joy and faith in encountering Christ in our lives. #PrayVD

Gospel: Luke 15:1–3, 11–32 “He was lost and has been found.” (cf. Luke 15:32) In today’s Gospel, we hear the famous parable that never fails to remind us how God yearns to find us and be with us again when we are lost. Sometimes we find ourselves lost into countless things that occupy us and make us feel away from the gaze of God. And when we are lost, we often fall into feeling of depression and misery. But wherever we are, the love of God never fails to reach us and embrace us away from things that bring us down – God always finds us. Today, let us be reminded that God loves us and continues to love us wherever our lives bring us. May we always keep in touch with Him through things that we do. #PrayVD

Gospel: Matthew 21:33–43, 45–46 Produce the fruits of the Kingdom Fruitfulness comes from faithfulness and closeness to Jesus and this makes one deserving to the Kingdom of God. It is through prayer and living the Word of God that we are able to be faithful and close to the Son of Man. May we live a faithful life like Mother Mary. Let us also ask her to help us draw closer to her Son. #PrayVD

Gospel: Luke 16:19–31 “And at his gate lay a poor man named Lazarus.” (cf. Luke 16:20) It’s a saddening truth that in our society the poor continues to live voiceless. With their deafening cries being overwhelmed by the noise of the world, many found themselves not existing anymore. It’s a significant detail in today’s Gospel that Jesus gave a name to the poor man – Lazarus. And this has shown to us that the rich man knows Lazarus all through his life but instead lived a life of ignorance of his existence. Today’s Gospel shows us the importance of the lives of the poor in the eyes of God. Lazarus continues to exist in our society and he is in need of help. Surely, his cry needs to be echoed to the ones who could help. Let us be an instrument for the existence of Lazarus to be recognized and for his voice to be heard by the people. #PrayVD |
