Gospel: John 14:27-31a
“Do not be troubled!” – John 14:27
We may be experiencing different sorts of troubles: trouble with family or marriage due to misunderstanding and lack of communication; trouble with work due to conflicts, pressures or stress, trouble with our health, finances, etc. But in the midst of these troubles that we find ourselves in, Jesus tells us, "Do not let your hearts be troubled and be afraid."
Jesus gives us His peace to enable us to overcome the things that's s been troubling and making us afraid.

Gospel: John 14:21-26
“Whoever keeps my commandments is the one who loves me.” – John 14:21
Love is the greatest gift on the face of this earth.
Jesus tells us that whoever observes His commandments is the one who loves Him. And all who love Jesus will be loved by Him and His Father – love that is unconditional. What more could we ask for? Unconditional is a great gift to give and to receive and truly, there is no greater love!
Today we pray that we may strive to imitate the unconditional love of God by keeping his commandments.

2nd Reading: Rev 21:1-5a
“See, I make all things new!” Rev21:5
What does it mean to be Easter People? At Easter we are forgiven, healed and renewed by Jesus. And the grace of eternal life -- this life which compels us to a fresh start is given to us. And we are called to share the Good News. Our response can and should be rooted in love.
Holy Trinity and Mama Mary teach us to love and grow in love all the days of our lives. Amen.

“Whoever sees me, sees the Father” John14:9
“Lord, show us the Father, and that is enough.” Jesus said to Philip, “What! I have been with you so long and you still do not know me?”
How is your prayer life? The Word of God is alive and effective! Go and reach for the bible. Stop asking and waiting for signs. The answer is before you, go on your knees. He has the answer. He is waiting for you.
Praying that each day we choose to be the hand and feet of God that they too may see and encounter him. Amen.

“I am the Way the Truth and the Life. No one can come to the Father except through me” John 14:6
Did you vote? Did you stand for the Truth? And, what is the truth? Is it relative to ...what?
The truth is that you are the Son of God. As such you carry his DNA of love. You got to be his spitting image! You are Beloved, Gifted, Empowered. That is the truth about you . Stand Firm! Grow in confidence of your identity -- You are made from Love. Your life is for loving.
May the cross of Jesus give you all the courage you need to keep going, keep sowing the seed of love.

“Whoever welcomes me, welcomes the one who sent me” Jn13:20
Jesus presented himself earlier as the Good Shepherd and in a debate with the Jewish leaders he made claim, “I and the Father are one” Jn10:30. Jesus lived in perfect oneness with the Father and even tells us whoever has seen him has seen the Father. And so when we come to pray to Jesus, we encounter the Face of God.
It is God’s love that breathes unto us . He desires always to draw us closer unto him. Come to him and be refreshed!

“Whoever believes in me may not remain in darkness” Jn12:46
“I know that his commandment is eternal life, and that is why the message I give as the Father instructed me.” The face of love himself wanting the best for each one of us. However, he gives man the freedom to make choices. Between light and darkness, life or death. Choose light ! Choose love!
“Lets us put on the whole armour of God, that we may be able to stand the test of evil.” Ep6:11
May 14, 2019 Tuesday
“This is my command: LOVE each other” Jn15:17
I have told you this, that my own joy may be in you, and your joy may be complete! What a beautiful assurance if only we stick it out with Jesus -- by keeping the commandments. So what makes it difficult to LOVE? “It was I who CHOSE you”. Can we also do the same each moment, each day? To CHOOSE to Love?
Mama Mary, you chose to remain standing at the foot of the cross. May we too take the daily option to choose the cross. Amen.

“My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.” Jn10:10
Indeed life is full of contrasts. The thief who takes away life vs. Jesus who gives life. He re-introduced himself to us as the Good Shepherd who LEADS, PROTECTS and PROVIDES to those who listen and follow his voice. The life he gives is abundantly rich and full! We’re not talking about material richness, rather Eternal life! It is here, now! Life in Christ is on a higher plane because of his forgiveness and love for humanity. He invites us today to set our eyes on the cross where we will find direction, destination. There is no greater gift at Easter than Jesus himself!
Today, let us draw closer to Jesus who is our gate to a fulfilled life. He is enough!

Gospel: John 10:27-30
“No one can take them out of My hand.” - cf Jn 10:28
Today, Good Shepherd Sunday, we celebrate the immense love of Jesus to us, His sheep. He knows us and assures us that with Him, we shall never perish. He leads us away from the wolves of temptation, and rescues us and lead us back when we are lost. How great it is to imagine Him holding our hands, leading us to find the good pasture.
Jesus, give us wisdom to choose the good shepherds who will lead our country as we vote tomorrow. May You guide those who will be elected to the path of humble service and love.
