"What is this? Is it some kind of a new teaching? This man has authority to give orders to the evil spirits and they obey Him." Mk. 1:21-28

Jesus didn't only preached in what He said but more so in what He did.
In prayer, let us notice that in Jesus ministry, He expressed the gift of authority not in dominance but in healing service. How about us? In what way do we exercise our power and authority?

"As for you, continue with what you have learned and what has been entrusted to you, knowing from whom you have received it."
(2Timothy 3:14)

Let us continue learning the tools we receive from Christ. Consistent exercise of prayer, fraternal love, cross and mission will help us be equipped in bringing Him to our brothers and sisters in every situation.

The men with me saw the light but did not hear the voice of the one who was speaking to me. I asked "What shall I do, Lord?" (Acts 22:9-10)

Teach us Jesus to always trust that inner voice inside us as we come to prayer. Help us to seek your will in whichever situations we are in - most especially the difficult and challenging ones.

​"by whom the whole Body is fitted and joined together every joint adding its own strength, for each individual part to work according to its function. So the body grows until it has built itself up in love." (Ephesians 4:16)

We are called to defend each others faith and each others vocation. We need each one to grow & bear much fruit.

​"Make known to me your ways, Lord; teach me your paths. Guide me by your fidelity and teach me, for you are God my savior..." (Ps 25:4-5)

When God calls us, He qualifies each one of us. He knows what we can do and what we can accomplish if we surrender our lives to Him. Because of God's desire, we can be sure that He will see us through and supply what is lacking in us.

​Then Jesus went home. Again such a large crowd gathered that Jesus and his disciples had no time to eat... (Mark 3:20)

Jesus doesn't want us to do evil things and He will never abandon us... We are the ones who detach from Him and do against His will, not recognizing and acknowledging His presence. We should be grateful of God's presence  in our lives....

​Very early in the morning, before daylight, Jesus went off to a lonely place where he prayed...Then Jesus answered, "Let us go to the nearby villages so that I may preach there too; for this is why I came"
(Mark 1:35,38)

Jesus shows us the way: prayer first then action. When we pray it clarifies our priority to do just as Jesus did: to preach the kingdom of God. So we need to pray more to save more.

​"Let the children come to me and dont stop them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." (Mark 10:14)

A childlike attitude is God's invitation for us to renew and refresh our spirituality as disciple, to be able to live life to the full and inherit the kingdom in heaven.
Do we live this attitude of the little ones by choosing not what is to be appreciated but the capacity to love and to serve?

​Then he asked them, "What does the law allow us to do on the Sabbath? To do good or to do harm? To save life or to kill?" But they were silent....
(Mark 3:1-6)

Today, Jesus is inviting us to be clear w/ our identity as His followers. Our daily options, choices & decisions will define us being Christians. It will truly show our true colors. Let us stretch our hands to Christ in asking for the grace to make us imitators of His life.
