Prayer Buddies: May 31, 2018What unifies all of us, the centre is the Eucharist...The Christian sign is unity in love. - cf. Familiares de Dios p. 438
The Eucharist is for everyone, wherever you came from or whatever state of life you are in. Participating in the Holy mass gives us joy and a feeling of belongingness to the church. The Eucharist enables us to love and unites us as a people of God. VERBUM DEI PRAYER BUDDIES

Prayer Buddies: May 23, 2018"So then, my friends, because of God's great mercy to us I appeal to you: Offer yourselves as a living sacrifice to God, dedicated to his service and pleasing to him". (Romans 12:1)
Each of us has been called to perform different roles in this journey of faith. Offering our lives to God through service of the word makes us united with him. Jesus is inviting us to go deeper in our prayer so that we can reach out more people especially those who are lost. VERBUM DEI PRAYER BUDDIES

Prayer Buddies - 5/22/2018"So that it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me." (Galatians 2:20)
We all have Christ in us! We are freed from fear & today Jesus is inviting us to live that way. In order for us to courageously give hope to other people, we need to live full of faith that He is in us. Christ lives in us! Let other people believe on this promise of Him so that they may experience a faithful life as Jesus is calling us in this mission. VERBUM DEI PRAYER BUDDIES

Prayer Buddies - 5/19/2018"Blessed is she who believes".Lk.1:45
We are so blessed that we have a mother, Mary who believes and said Yes to the call to bear the son of God. Just like Mary we need to believe and follow what God commanded us to do. The Holy Spirit is telling us not to be afraid because God's power will rest upon us. What about you, are you ready to say Yes? Our yes is needed by our Triune God in order to spread His love to all people. VERBUM DEI PRAYER BUDDIES

Prayer Buddies - 5/16/2018''Jesus answered him, Those who love me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and my Father and I will come to them and live with them''. (John 14:23)
Jesus always speaks to us in many different ways just to lead us to the Father. If we make ourselves ready to hear his voice, then we will be guided on which path to take, a path to the loving embrace of the Father. VERBUM DEI PRAYER BUDDIES

Prayer Buddies - 5/6/2018"As the Father loves me, so I also love you. Remain in my love." (John 15:9)
Loving bridges us to our brothers & sisters. It heals those who are broken and gives joy to those who are sad. Our Father is the source of this attentive love and we are encouraged to do the same. Let's remain in Jesus' love through the Eucharist so that we can show to the world that love is the answer. Can we love every moment like Jesus? VERBUM DEI PRAYER BUDDIES

Prayer Buddies - 5/3/2018The lord says, "it was my will that he should suffer, his death was a sacrifice to bring forgiveness".
(Isaiah 53:10)
How wonderful to be reminded that our Father loves us so much that he gave his only Son & allowed him to suffer for the forgiveness of our sins. Not only that, Jesus continues to offer his body & blood through the Eucharist. It's a never ending self-giving Jesus constantly gives to us. How wonderful if we attend the mass not merely as an obligation but conscious & excited to receive him. VERBUM DEI PRAYER BUDDIES

Prayer Buddies - 5/2/2018"The greatest love a person can have for his friends is to give his life for them."
(John 15:13)
Loving is not easy. It needs a special grace from God. Choosing love above all will mold us to become more like Jesus. Because in the end, love always wins. Do you believe you're created to love? Does your life reflect the love coming from Jesus? Lord, teach us how to love. May our lives be a reflection of your perfect love to all people. VERBUM DEI PRAYER BUDDIES

Prayer Buddies - 5/1/2018Then He took bread, gave thanks to God, broke it, & gave it to them saying, "This is My Body, which is given for you." (Luke 22:19)
What a wonderful God we have! He breaks Himself that He may make us whole again. He gives us His very own life so that by His blood we may all be cleansed & purified & thereby recover our dignity as the Father's beloved children. He makes Himself our food---so we may live. How can we be food for others today so that they too may live? In what way is God calling us to break ourselves so that others may be whole? VERBUM DEI PRAYER BUDDIES |
