Prayer Buddies - 6/30/2017"The word of the Lord spread everywhere in that region"
(Acts 13:49) The Word spread everywhere is Jesus' desire for His people bcoz everyone deserves to listen & live God's Word. As His chosen disciples, we are challenged to overcome indifferences & be one w/ others to live in unity w/ the Gospel. Let us all stand firm on the call we understand from Jesus on spreading the Word bcoz, in the same way we need Him, He also needs us for others.

Christianity is something we should be proud of and as Christians, the Holy spirit is inviting and encouraging us to be brave and stay true to our nature, which is to spread the good news and love that God had shown us even to those people who think they're powerful and don't need God in their lives. Jesus taught us to value the gifts and treasure He's given us. We should not be negligent about these, but rather realize, through the Holy Spirit, that the treasure we hold in our hearts is sacred. Let's give thanks for the treasure God has placed in us. VERBUM DEI PRAYER BUDDIES

Today, God is inviting us to be faithful in making Him known to all his people, especially our brothers and sisters who have gone astray and those who are still seeking for his love. Sometimes we are afraid that we will make wrong decision, of what others think, of what will be the future. Whatever trouble affects us, we know that God understands it better than we ourselves. He cares for each one of us. Trust in the Lord, have faith & do not despair. VD PRAYER

What does life mean for you? Is it just to finish school, have a job, help the family and do what you want and done? Now, believe that life all about serving God and everything will follow. Jesus tells us to think about our motivation in doing good things. Do we pray and do a work of charity to be praised by others? Let us act in a holy way to grow close to God, and for Him alone seeing our good actions. VERBUM DEI PRAYER BUDDIES

Being too attached to worldly views can also change the way we perceive things. Yet, Jesus, enriched by the gift of knowledge from the Spirit, taught us to break these barriers by reaching out to others.
