Gospel: Matthew 12:1-8 “Mercy is what pleases me, not sacrifice” “There is something greater here than the temple.” How often do we miss this point in life. We go through our lives sometimes out of routine. We follow rules because we grew up with it. Sadly, sometimes we really forget why we do the things we do. God is in our midst, always. He doesn’t want us to live our lives out of obligation, out of routine, out of getting used to what has been. Don’t offer him sacrifices because that has been the norm. Offer him what he rightly deserves… our imitation of him, our imitation of his mercy. He only desired one thing from us… it is to love one another. And MERCY = LOVE.

Gospel: Matthew 11:28-30 “My yoke is easy and my burden light” We are all facing our own problems whether we are rich or poor, and maybe many are getting worn out. We can do so many remedies with our physical body when we get tired, we can sleep or relax more often but when we experience mental or emotional stress, it will be hard for us to recover and the only best thing that we can do is to surrender ourselves to HIM because in this gospel, it explains that he will ease all our burdens in life. St Bonaventure, pray for us. #PrayVD

Gospel: Matthew 11:25-27 “I bless you” We all have our own beliefs in life, because we do have different kinds of experiences. Many people are considering themselves blessed because of all the good things that they are experiencing and some are saying that they’re not too blessed because of those bad experiences. But everyday is a blessing because we are all given the chance to repent on our past and change our lives. We may experience good or bad things, and we still need to learn how to be thankful especially to God because he is giving us all those chances. #PrayVD

Gospel” Matthew 11:20-24 “they had not repented” They had not repented because they had not recognized all the wonderful things Jesus had done for them. There are still countless people who right before their eyes, Jesus is doing great miracles in their lives yet they don’t see. When we open our eyes and really allow God to touch our lives, our first reaction really is to have the desire to be better, to be sorry for how we have been wasting our lives. Holy Spirit, may this day not pass without us savoring what the good Lord has done for us today. #PrayVD

Mt 9:32-38 "The harvest is plenty but the laborers are few" The gospel invites us to look at the world in the same way as Jesus. Jesus sees the world with pity because people are troubled and restless. People are also abandoned and does not feel any love at all. Being disciples of the word of God, we are invited to share the faith that we have to the restless people. Maybe they are restless because they are scared of the unknown but with faith; they will be assured by God. We are also invited to share God's love to the abandoned so that they will feel how God loves them so much. Mama Mary, guide us as we journey as disciples of God so that we can share God to the troubled and abandoned. #PrayVD

Mt 9:18-26 "Your faith has saved you" In the gospel, the woman who was suffering hemorrhages for twelve years was cured when she touched Jesus. She has faith that she will be cured. This tells us that to be able to see the marvelous things God has for us we should have faith. Without faith we will not see nor appreciate God who is working always in our lives. Faith brings healing to us. Faith brings hope to us because we know God will always be there. Faith gives fulfillment to our lives. Holy Spirit grant us the gift of faith so that we may be able to see and appreciate how God loves us so much. #PrayVD |
