Gospel: Lk 24:13-35
Third Sunday of Easter
 
Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him, but he disappeared from their sight
 
Today, we continue contemplating on the Good News of The Walk to Emmaus. In the full account of the Gospel, we can notice that when the disciples finally recognized that it was Jesus, it is when He disappeared from their sight.
 
Probably because they have seen using their hearts, the sight using their eyes were no longer necessary. In the same way, we are invited to continue seeking Jesus' face using our own hearts, not merely using our eyes in the different situations we are living.
 
Mother Mary, pray for us so we will never lose the face of Jesus in our hearts.
