August 1, 2019 – Thursday
Gospel: Matthew 13:47–53

“Have you understood all this?” (cf. Mt 13:51)

In most parables given by Jesus, we can always observe the distinction between the good and bad, with the bad being sorted out from the good ones and end up disregarded.

Jesus used the parables not to convey that the Heavenly Father is a punishing God but to help us understand the mercy of God to sinners who are ready to repent and live according to the Kingdom of heaven.

Let us ask Mother Mary to guide us into living according to the Kingdom of heaven.
