​August 10, 2019 – Saturday
Gospel: Jn 12:24-26

Serve and bear fruit 

Serving entails sacrifices, not just the superficial things of giving out material and grand things. In the gospel, Jesus reminds us that a part of our self must die in order to bear fruit. Our efforts alone are not enough if we find it easy to serve. Hardships endured bear fruits of life lessons.

Jesus reminds us to continue what we are doing even if there are challenges ahead.  Mother Mary, be our pillar of strength and hope to face the difficulties of serving the mission (family, community, friends, loved ones) assigned to us.
