Gospel: Matthew 14:1–12
 
"A model of unshakable strength and devotion to his cause for which he was ready to die" (cf. Handbook of the Legion of Mary – “Saint John the Baptist")
 
A cause for the kingdom of God requires unshakable strength and great devotion, this attitude has been shown by Saint John the Baptist through his act of preparing the way of the Lord.His death has not been in vain, for Jesus was able to go through this way that he has prepared and was able to reach the hearts of God’s people.
 
May we be like Saint John the Baptist, having unshakable strength and great devotion to our causes for the glory of God in the hearts of people.
