Gospel: Mt 24: 37-44

Prepare, the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him - Mt 24:44

Today is the First Sunday of Advent: a season before we celebrate Christmas. A time of preparation for the coming of Jesus.

Our gospel today is gives us a preview of what will be the next days to come. The coming of Jesus. Is our hearts prepare to receive Jesus? Not only on December 25 but in this whole season of Advent. We are invited to stay awake because we do not when Jesus will knock in our hearts. Maybe through the mission entrusted to us, through a person we haven’t had agree with or through strangers in the street. We never know.

Mama Mary, we pray to enter in this Advent season with an open and humble heart to receive Jesus in our daily lives.
