Gospel: Luke 1:26-38 “The power of the Most High will overshadow you.” Macchiato comes from the Latin word maculatus meaning ‘to stain’. Thus macchiato pertains to coffee stained with a few drops of milk, but not to the point of overpowering its taste. On the contrary, the reading for today retells the account of the ImMACULATE conception, that is how Mary, who was UNSTAINED by sin, fully dedicated herself to be the mother of Jesus. She give her plans, her personal ambitions, allowing God to fully empower her, and indeed, great things happened through her. Our dearest Mother, teach us how to allow ourselves to be fully overshadowed by God, so that He may truly expand our little ‘yes’ in unimaginable ways. #PrayVD |
