Gospel: Luke 10:21-24 “Blessed are the eyes that see what you see.” Blessed are our eyes that see beyond the physical, eyes that see with wisdom , which see in the spiritual realm. Those matters which the prophets of long ago could not see or understand, yet we are able to see as long as with childlike openness. St Paul wrote, "I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you may know the hope to which God has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints" (Ephesians 1:18). And again, "This is my prayer, that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight" (Philippians 1:9).... This is the true second sight: insight. We pray to the Holy Spirit that we may be enlightened to see what God wants us to see in all the things of the physical world. #PrayVD |
