Gospel: Luke 5:17–26
 
"We have seen incredible things today." (cf. Luke 5:26)
 
Today’s Gospel narrates to how Jesus promptly forgives and miraculously heals a paralyzed man while the Pharisees and teachers of the law question His authority.
 
Forgiveness frees a heart from its sins and heals a person from the agony it causes. It is such a blessing how God graciously gave this capacity to us – an authority to heal one another from the afflictions of sins.
 
This season of Advent, let us practice this capacity to forgive those who may have wronged us so their burdened hearts will be healed and also be ready for the coming of Jesus in their lives this Christmas.
