Luke 2 16-21
 
"And Mary kept all these things, reflecting them in her heart."
 
It's the first day of 2021 and what better way to start this new year with a promise. In today's gospel, hearing from the shepherds the promise of salvation through the child Jesus as told by the angel, Mary remembered each word and thought deeply about it.

Today, we are invited to spend time in prayer and reflect on the promises that God has fulfilled for us in the past, remember all these, and believe that whatever it is that God promises for us this year and the years to come, he will fulfill through Jesus.
 
Dearest Father, thank you for being faithful to your promises. As we move forward to this year, may we be able to respond to whatever it is that you calling us to do out of gratitude for all your goodness and faithfulness. Amen.
