Gospel: Matthew 3:13-17
 
"This is my son, the Beloved; he is my Chosen One." (cf. Matthew 3:17)
 
Today, we celebrate the feast of the Lord's baptism. As He was baptized, we are affirmed of his identity as the beloved son of God.
 
Our own baptism tells us who we are – our real identity as God's beloved children. Our identity is not being defined by wealth, success, power, social status, our sins and failures. Is by a name pronounced by God in us “my Chosen One”, what it means in our daily life? We are more than we have.
 
We are baptized becoming our true self – our true identity as beloved children of God. Live it!
