Gospel: Mark 1:21-28

I know who you are!

Today's Gospel tells us more about Jesus by showing His power over unclean spirits - demons. It also shows that it was the demon who recognized Jesus as the Holy One of God while the people in the crowd had no idea who he was.

We encounter different spirits everyday and it is important for us to know what kind they are that we accept - whether they are good or bad, holy or not. This spirits often guide our emotions and way of life. It is by our faith that we know whether it is the Holy Spirit that we choose to accept.

The Gospel today invites us to be prayerful in accepting the Spirit that we have in our daily lives. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide us in knowing more about Jesus - the holy one of God.
