Gospel:  John 1:29-34

“But for this I came baptizing with water, that he might be revealed to Israel”

St John the Baptist’s life  demonstrates humility.  He understood and proclaimed that what he was doing was to prepare the way for Jesus’ coming and thus he carried out his work with great dedication.  Whether it is by baptizing with water, or if he lived now,  filing papers and helping arrange meetings, we reveal Christ in the work we do and the words we say.

If we walk humbly before the Lord, we will reveal Him to more people than we ever thought possible.  Lord, make us humble and persevering everyday that we may lead others to You.
