Gospel: Mark 6:34-44
"You, yourselves give them something to eat." (cf. Mark 6:27)
Time went by and it began to be late and dark. The disciples were concerned and asked Jesus to send the people away because they were sure that in the desert it is impossible to find something to eat for so many people. But Jesus said to them, “You, yourselves give them something to eat.”
Jesus doesn't seek solutions from outside but from within. Give what you have. Give what you can give. You don't have to be great, rich or famous for you to be able to give.
When we think of feeding the world or the need in the world it can be overwhelming for us. Today's Gospel invites us to give without questioning whether we are enough or not because He will be the one to make it suffice to everyone who needs it.
