Daily Guidelines: June 5, 2019

June 5, 2019 – Wednesday
Gospel: John 17:11b–19
 
“Your word is truth.” – John 17:17
 
As the society grasps for truth in its daily endeavors, some people lie for the sake of their own convenience. Fake news is being spread as if it’s the daily commodity for the people. And with the innocent being fed with lies, comes dignity being devoured by the wicked.
 
In today’s Gospel, Jesus is thoughtfully praying for our protection and guidance; that the words that we would hear and receive are of God’s words of truth. His prayer alsocomes with an invitation for us to be vigilant and wise with the words that we give to and receive from others.
