Love as I have loved

How much do you love God? What if he loves you as much as you love him? Good thing, this is not the case!



God has given us his love freely and he desires that we, too, love him just as he loves us – with all his heart, mind, soul, and strength – and love others as we love ourselves. This is not only the greatest commandment, but expresses also the greatest dream God has for each of his beloveds.



Perhaps, loving God the way he wants us to love him does not guarantee that we will never make mistakes as Christians. But surely, this will help us see hope and compassion when we fall into temptations. Our love for God will move us to strive to love as he loved, and live as he lives. It may be tough, but surely, God’s love got us!
