Daily Guidelines: March 7, 2019

March 7, 2019 – Thursday
Gospel: Luke 9:22-25 

“Take up your cross daily and follow Christ.”

What is your idea of a cross? It can certainly be something that is a big challenge, done with great difficulty or suffering. But it may also mean something not very dramatic. Even small acts of love, of sacrifice, of generosity can become “crosses”. But the important word there is “daily”. To follow Christ is to commit everyday to doing small acts of love and kindness and sacrifice for the sake of others. Lord, help us to carry our big and small crosses everyday, the same way You help us carry our crosses.
