Gospel: John 6:44-51

"They shall all be taught by God.”  - cf  Jn 6:45

In today’s Gospel Jesus explains that faith begins by being drawn by the Father. He approaches us and reveals Himself to us in subtle ways- through our parents or colleagues, acquaintances or strangers, achievements or failures, happy memories or gruesome trials. Each moment is a teaching moment with God. He is an intimate God who knows us from within. Quoting St. Augustine, “The Lord is closer to us than we are to ourselves”. Therefore we must strive to find Him in every situation we are in, and to say with conviction, “My Father is here. He is present within me.”
