Gospel: Luke 11:37-41
“..these you should practice without neglecting the others.” (cf Luke 11:42)
Jesus in the Gospel stirs us to examine ourselves: why do I do what I do? Why do I work? Why do I study? Why do I go to church? Why do I help others? Is it to feel and look good enough, and to feed my ego just like the Pharisees? Or I do it to express my love for God and for His people?
Today, we are invited to be aware on what drives us to do something. And as we celebrate the
Feast of St. Ignatius of Antioch, let us ask his intercession that each day, all our options and actions may be moved and inspired by our love of God.
