Daily Guidelines: October 20, 2018

October 20, 2018 – Saturday
Gospel: Luke 12:8-12

“For the Holy Spirit will teach you at that moment what you should say." (cf Luke 12:12)

Just like the disciples of Jesus in today’s Gospel, we can also be confronted with the challenge of opposition when we try to follow Jesus closely. Not everyone will believe what we do and will be convinced of what we proclaim. What do we do when we experience such? Do we get discouraged? Or we become more persevering?

Each day, Jesus encourages us to continue giving witness to our brothers and sisters. Opposition is inevitable, but we can be assured that we are never alone because the Holy Spirit will give us the light to carry on.

Holy Spirit, thank you for your unending help, teach us to be more attentive to you.
