Behold
 
Today we are celebrating the memorial of Our Lady of Sorrows. In the Gospel, this is the time when Jesus Christ was crucified. As a mother, it was not easy for Mary to see her Son crucified. But before Jesus died He never forgot his family and disciples.  He said to His mother, “Woman, behold, your son.” then to his disciples "Behold, your mother". And from that hour the disciple took her into his home.
 
In this time many of us are sad because of the effect of the pandemic to each one of us. But just like in the Gospel, Jesus invites us to turn to each other. This is the time to stop our selfishness and to be humble in front of one another. Behold as we help each other be united in Jesus. If we do that, our sorrows today can become happiness tomorrow.
 
Oh Lord God we are here to ask for your protection and healing of this world against the virus.
