Daily Guidelines: September 23, 2020

​September 23, 2020 Wednesday
Gospel: Luke 9:1–6
 
"Take nothing for your journey." (cf. Luke 9:3)
 
The disciples then set off traveling from one village to another, proclaiming the good news and curing diseases everywhere.
 
If we truly desire to journey with Jesus, we also have to travel lightly. Some of us tend to over-pack rather than bringing minimal things.
What is it that we truly need? What can we let go of? What is Jesus asking us to release or to leave behind? What do we no longer need?
 
Today, let us ask Jesus teach us to travel with Him bringing only the essential that we need in the journey. May we also learn from Him how to let go of things that hinders us from following God's will. Amen
