Gospel: Luke 9:18–22 "Who do you say that I am?" (cf. Luke 9:20) In today's Gospel, Jesus was praying and his disciples were there with Him. After a time, Jesus turned to his disciples and asked, “Who do the people say that I am?” They said in reply, “Some say you are John the Baptist. Others believe you are Elijah or one of the prophets who has arisen.” He then asked, “But who do you say that I am?” Today Jesus is asking each of us the same question, “Who do you say that I am?” In the same manner like the disciples, we are also invited to take the same moment of asking ourselves who is Jesus to us. Perhaps we can answer these questions based on our personal experience with Jesus as He also desires for us to have a personal relationship with Him wanting to be the center of our lives. Let us come to Mother Mary to help us open ourselves and allow Jesus to be the center of our lives so we can have that personal relationship with Him. Amen #PrayVD |
