Gospel: Luke 9:7–9
 
Have you only heard of Jesus or do you personally know Him?
 
In the Holy Mass, we are able to hear about Jesus through the Gospel, witness His passion through the consecration of bread and wine and receive Him through the communion. Though we encounter Him in this celebration, this isn’t the only moment for us to be with Him.
 
Today’s Gospel inspires us to give more effort in knowing Jesus personally and not only settle with hearing about Him. It is through deepening in our prayer life that we are able to encounter Him more personally.
 
Let us have the desire to know Jesus more as we give more time in our prayer life.
