Gospel: Luke 16:19–31 "And at his gate lay a poor man named Lazarus." (cf. Luke 16:20) Some needy people eventually found themselves not existing anymore in the society that we live in. And with the ignorance of the people to their deafening cries, their voices were just left unheard. In today’s Gospel, we cannot deny that the rich man knows the name of Lazarus but he just ignored his existence when they were still living. Lazarus continues to exist in our society and he is in need of our help. And if we have nothing to give, surely his cry needs to be echoed to the ones who could. Let us be an instrument for the existence of Lazarus to be recognized and for his voice to be heard by the people. #PrayVD |
