Jn 1:47-51 “Before I called you, I saw you under the fig tree” In the bible, a sprouting fig tree means the kingdom of God is near. Jesus said “Before I called you, I saw you under the fig tree”. It is a strong message of Jesus that He saw us already in His kingdom before everything else. But most of the time we walk away from the kingdom. In the gospel, Philip called Nathanael under the fig tree to come and see Jesus. The call for us is to be the Philip in this world of today and call our brothers and sisters to come to Jesus as He can see that they are in His kingdom. Holy Spirit, teach us to be like Philip so that we may fulfill the vision of God seeing us all in His kingdom. #PrayVD |
